It has been exciting to see the Lord work things out for the trip as time goes by. It is not always easy to communicate, even in this day and age, to those in other countries. But the Lord has been faithful and things are progressing. The Indian pastor, Lamech Inbaraj is working on the plans from his side. The trip will involve having a discipleship conference in Kenya and India, for pastors that Lamech is working with. I will travel first to Kenya and then on to India. I plan to leave March 28th and return April 12th. Please begin to pray now that God’s Spirit will prepare me to teach His Word clearly and plainly in order that the pastors who attend the conference will understand how to disciple and equip their members for the work of the ministry (Eph. 4:11-12). How exciting it is for me to think of the potential of helping pastors develop a vision of what God wants to do through their ministry to those they Sheppard. If you have any questions about the trip don’t hesitate to ask.
Judy and I also want to thank all of you for continuing to pray for us during our transition to the States this past year. Your prayers and gifts for us this past year have encouraged us so much. We enjoyed hearing from many of you over the holidays. Good things are happening at Red Mountain Community Church as it continues to focus on their vision of discipling and equipping their members. We are in a series of messages now that are called “The Invitation.” Great invitations for us to fully engage in the Lord’s work in our life and then extend that to people in our communities. Several men I have been meeting with have been an encouragement to me as I see them respond to God’s desire for them.
Let me highlight the prayer requests mentioned above:
- Pray for God’s leading me in preparing His Word and preparing the hearts of the pastors who will attend.
- Pray for the remaining funds needed (around $1,700) for this trip and funds for the pastors who will be attending the conferences.
- Praise the Lord with us for His provision of our needs this past year; health, direction in ministry, funds and a local church to be a part of.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to write or call and ask me.
Until next time God bless,
Chuck & Judy Brod
